The child you see in the photos is not my BIOLOGICAL son. In fact it is my friends son. However a couple weeks ago some guys while trying to rob his father and uncle shot him and he died instantly. But i will be there for him as if he was my own and take care of him and spoil him. His father was a good guy and didn’t deserve what happened, to show respect  i will take care  of his son the way he would have.

Anyone who knows me knows how much i love kids….after all i want 4-6 of them.

The guy who shot him was caught  and will be going to jail for the rest of his life. But its no constellation to a child who has to grow up without a father. So i will gladly be a father figure to be there  for him along the way.

There is NO excuse and NEVER an invitation to rape.

Denim Day is a campaign to prevent sexual violence in our community through education and public awareness. 

Why? 

Italy, 1990. An 18-year old girl is picked up by her married 45-year old driving instructor for her very first lesson. He takes her to an isolated road, pulls her out of the car, wrestles her out of one leg of her jeans and forcefully rapes her. Threatened with death if she tells anyone, he makes her drive the car home. Later that night she tells her parents, and they help and support her to press charges. The perpetrator gets arrested and is prosecuted. He is convicted of rape and sentenced to jail.

He appeals the sentence. The case makes it’s all the way to the Italian Supreme Court. Within a matter of days the case against the driving instructor is overturned, dismissed, and the perpetrator released. In a statement by the Chief Judge, he argued, “because the victim wore very, very tight jeans, under threat she had to help him remove them, and by removing the jeans it was no longer rape but consensual sex.”

Enraged by the verdict, within a matter of hours the women in the Italian Parliament launched into immediate action and protested by wearing jeans to work. 

This WEDNESDAY, April 27, 2011 universities, colleges, junior high and high schools, businesses, organizations and individuals—men and women—nationally and internationally - will participate in Denim Day events. Join the campaign—step forward take a stand against rape. At the very least, make a statement, show your support and wear those jeans proudly and with a purpose.

Whoot I wore jeans today and I didn’t even know :) Good cause.

What the hell? She was under threat!

To me, whenever I see cancer patients laugh or smile, I envy their beauty.

Many may disagree with me, but I feel they are the most beautiful people on earth. Through all their pain and hardships, they seem to be able to conjure up a smile on their faces.

That is what I consider beauty. Not the skinny models we all flip through in magazines. These people should be our role models. These people define beauty.

She’s the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.
